Fed up with dotfiles tricks
Really, what is so great about zsh, exa and other cool tools. I admit, I've been swept by the idea once, mingling with my dots all the time, but it can only take you so far.
Like that boasting for zoxide with insanely smart and fast navigation... Did you hear of CDPATH? Combined with native fish features (which is superior shell) gives you superpowers in navigation and else beyond comprehension. Really, try it, type letter or two and arrow right, out of the box.
What I really try to say is that I cherish my minimal config. It's really fish, fd, rg, neovim, lf, some custom code living in my dotfiles and we're good to go. And when I ssh into server, I don't miss my fancy setup, just changing suit into bash, find, grep.
Focus on what can speed you up without slowdowns, and chop off unnecessary load ruthlessly.
